Institution and course registration

What is the CRICOS?

Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) is a database of Australian education institutions that are able to offer international education to international students. Australian institutions who intend to enrol international students have to apply for registration on CRICOS.

All Curtin campuses in Australia are listed as locations under the one registered CRICOS Provider Code of 00301J.

Under the ESOS framework, the designated authority is the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA) for the registration and re-registration of courses on CRICOS and monitors compliance with The National Code 2007.

What is a CRICOS Course Code?

As all Australian institutions offering education to international students must register each course on CRICOS, Curtin University registers all courses to be offered to the international students with the TEQSA and these registrations are then fed onto CRICOS.

All courses registered on CRICOS are approved by the University Council and have an approved fee attached.
